Programme de formation

• Objectifs

  Basically, same objectives as stated for English 1, but more specifically, at the end of this course, students should be able to

  • read general and specialised (vocationally oriented) texts
  • give formal presentations and hold discussions in front of an audience
  • use the specific vocabulary and relevant information for studying abroad (project, diploma work, Master, etc.), not only in English-speaking countries, but also in any Swiss or foreign academic place where English is required for the application procedure and studies
• Contenu

  Continuation and development of all activities defined in course English 1, but in addition

  • business English knowledge, such as writing appropriate application (cover) letters and CVs (résumés), according not only to normal writing practice in the USA and UK, but also to Swiss and international regulations (both academic and corporate)

Modalités d'évaluation

• Contrôle continu: travaux écrits, Présentations, Important: présence obligatoire à au moins 80% des cours, sinon la note du cours n'est pas attribuée (même si tous les travaux notés ont été réussis!) avec comme conséquence échec du module concerné.
